OH in Zircon
The structure of zircon can vary from well crystallized to disordered from damage caused by low levels of radioactive elements contained within its structure. The OH bands in zircon vary from sharp (in well crystallized zircons) to broad (in the disordered ones).
Data files and images of OH in zircon
Zircon may contain up to several hundred ppm (expressed as molecular water).
