Ilmenite Visible-NIR Spectrum
(400 - 2500 nm)
Ilmenite, FeTiO3, is expected to have intense Fe2+-
Ti4+
intervalence charge transfer, but is normally opaque because the
intensity of the IVCT absorption is so high that no light passes
through the crystal at normal thicknesses.
