Vesuvianite Visible Spectra (380 - 1100 nm)
Common vesuvianite, (Ca,Na)19(Al,Mg,Fe)13(SiO4)10(Si2O7)4(OH,F,O)10,
is brownish-yellow from its Fe3+ content.
Chromium produces
rich green colors while
manganese can produce lavender to dark brownish-red color as Mn3+.
Copper (Cu2+) causes blue
color in vesuvianite.
Wiluite, Ca19(Al,Mg)8(B,Al,
)5(SiO4)10(Si2O7)4(O,OH)10,
is a closely related mineral
